Loan Home Needed for 14.2 h Welsh Section D (23/08/10)

Very green 8yr old looking for a loving patient loan home. Jester had a bad start in life, and has taken a while to build his trust back in humans, but we’re there now. Unfortunately I’ve just had a baby, and simply don’t have the time to dedicate to him that he needs. After lots of long hard thinking, I believe its fairer to loan him out and further his education now, rather than wait for me. Jester has been lightly backed through natural horsemanship techniques, and was predominantly ridden in a Monty Roberts Dually. He has been schooled and very lightly hacked, loose schooled / jumped and shows a great willingness to learn. Due to pregnancy, and lack of riding area over the winters, Jester hasn’t been ridden in 18 months. But I strongly believe, he simply needs someone with experience, confidence and kindness to enable him to become the pony he deserves to be. Field manners are good, loads / travels well, and loves being wormed!! Patience is needed with the farrier (due to his early memories).

Jester would be a very rewarding loan to the right person, and I may be persuaded to sell if I truly believe its in his best interests. For more details, and to come and meet Jester, please call Gina on 01953 884420 / 07900 904838, or Email: ginatitman@hotmail.co.uk

Wanted Theraflex (10/08/10)

Desperately seeking a Theraflex pad for my poor chestnut gelding who's back is in dreadful shape. We got the saddle professionally fitted but it has turned out to be more of a hindrance than a help. Does anyone have a pad they would like to sell cheaply? Happy to collect locally. Email: archers44@ntlworld.com

For Sale - Western Saddle (26/07/10)

For sale working western saddle. This is certainly not a show saddle, as it is pretty heavy and quite old, but very strong and well made and a very good quality saddle, not a cheap import (believed to be hand made in Canada). I am not sure of the exact size but would estimate it to be semi-quarterhorse bars or suit medium to medium/wide horse. Rounded skirts, complete with cinches, saddle pad and blanket. Ideal as a working saddle or for backing, has had new stirrups, new latigo and new girth £150 ono. Happy to deliver for local trial. Email: info@natural-horsemanship.co.uk

Horse wanted to keep cob company (04/06/10)

I am looking for a horse or pony I can ride, with more 'whoa' than 'go' and whose horseanalty is anything other than LBE. My cob is challenging (for me) and I love him to bits, but in an ideal world the horse I am looking for would be more Level 1 / 2 rather than 3 / 4 and therefore give me a ' balance' in terms of expanding my learning opportunities and could also be ridden out by non-horse obsessed relatives who stay with me from time to time. I am on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and am happy to consider loan or purchase. Email: kate.saltmarsh@virgin.net

Horse Wanted (01/06/10)

I am looking for another partner to take the strain off my existing levels horse! I would like open my heart to anything from 6months to 12yrs whether it be a youngster that needs to be completly restarted the natural way or something older that just needs a good home. Although I can afford to keep another horse, my funds are limited with regards to purchasing, so he / she must be either free or realisticly priced! I am situated in Norfolk. Horse Balls for Training

This huge horse ball can assist you during ground work to desensitize your horse to objects moving around him. Horses often spook if something moves quickly and without notice. The horse ball can help you build your horses confidence gradually in a safe controlled environment. As your horse becomes braver you can introduce new excercises with the ball. A confident horse is much safer to ride and handle on the ground than a spooky one!

'Equine Touch' - Equine Bodywork for Horse Owners

Equine Touch is a non-diagnostic, noninvasive, energy and connective soft tissue discipline which works at a complete holistic level; that is, it addresses the equine as a whole without paying any particular attention to any named problem as such. On a practical level it consists of a series of gentle moves performed over specific points in predetermined patterns which are sometimes interspersed with observation periods to allow the equine to recognizes and process the effects of these subtle procedures.

These procedures have the effect of inducing deep relaxation, releasing hypertonic and traumatized muscles, encouraging muscle tone recovery from injury and atrophy, reducing the pain spiral, and assisting in detoxification and lymphatic drainage.

Anyone can learn the Equine Touch - it only takes 3 days. Level 1 and Level 2 courses are regularly held in Essex and Norfolk and cost £320.
